The 113th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 30th April 1926 over the Rowley Mile, was Pillion (25/1), a bay filly by Chaucer out of Double Back, owned by Mr Anthony de Rothschild. The winner won by a length in 1 minute 41 secs, with half a length back to the third. A large field of 29 runners contested the race which was worth £5,050 (Equivalent to £281,800 in 2017)
